In the shop

I have just added these little "Garden Skirts" to my Made It shop.
They are made from a natural coloured hankie linen and have a vintage fabric and doily patch on the front.

Wow!

Guess who won the Lark Blog Blogthday giveaway?

I did! -Yay!

Thank you to Allison from Larkmade.com.au for not only choosing my name out of the hat but also for being such an inspiring lady. Allison has turned her love of craft and handmade into a beautiful little business. I love reading the Lark blog; it's full of vintage goodness, handmade lovelies, op shop finds and lots, lots more

Maybe one day her and I could catch up over a glass of wine (or maybe a bottle) and some lovely cheese and chat about all things nice, including my love for Cath Kidston! (I don't even know Allison, so this is very presumptuous of me!) But if she is ever in my little part of the world maybe she might take me up on my offer!

I will post photos of my goodie bag when I have it in my hot little hands.

Thank you again Allison

For Me!

There seems to be a huge difference between the type of clothes I wear and the style of clothes that I love.  Well I have finally made something for myself (in a fabric & style I love).  This skirt was once a tablecloth that I adored, and have had sitting in the cupboard for a few years.
When I wear this skirt I feel pretty & girly.
There are more tablecloths sitting and waiting in that cupboard, just waiting for a new lease on life.  The hardest part is deciding which one to cut up first!

(Photography by Master "N" who is 9 years old) I'm not sure If he thinks the photos look better without my head or he was just zooming in on on the skirt!)

MADE IT

I have finally set up my made it shop, so now my designs can be purchased online.

There are only a few items for sale at the moment because I'm still learning all the tricks (most time efficient way) of how to upload items to sell.  Hopefully by the end of the week I should have it mastered and down to a fine art!
I must say thank you to Shan and the kids for being very patient with me over the last few days, as every spare minute I have seems to be spent on the computer.  I am looking forward to firing up the sewing machine again!

The made it button on the right takes you directly to my Edie's Garden made it shop.

A little snippet about made it from the made it website

Madeit.com.au is a handmade online buying and selling destination, which showcases Australia’s most creative, undiscovered art, design & craft talent. Lovers of handmade can purchase items on madeit.com.au, direct from the sellers and can choose from fashion, art, homewares, accessories, stationery, children and babies clothing and toys and much much more.

Madeit.com.au is different to other online designer destinations as it only supports local Australian talent. Shopping on madeit is a great way to support local designers & crafters and sellers can gain exposure and sell their wares all day every day and to every corner of Australia and the world.

Wow that says it all. I would love to hear from you if you have a look at my shop.  Please leave a comment here.  If you would like to visit the made it website just click on the link above.

I want to say a big thank you to Anna from invite with style for designing my new logo and web banner.  I am very excited to now be using such a beautiful logo.  Anna is very clever lady.  Check out her website or read her blog here http://invitewithstyle.posterous.com/.
